The Gateway to the West has long been a hotbed of motorsports, whether it’s NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace, the great dirt tracks owned by St. Louis native Ken Schrader, or the incredible drag racing at Gateway Motorsports Park that dates back to when cars ran the other way. Monster Muscle Car Weekend at Gateway continues the tradition of must-see drag racing with the Demon and Hellcat Nationals.
 
The Demon and Hellcat Nationals usher in a renaissance of speed and performance not seen within the Big Three domestic car manufacturers of modern muscle cars since the early 1970's. The current muscle cars combine technology and safety that for years was unheard of and are comfortable, more economical, and many get more than 20 miles per gallon on the highway. Muscle car owners can enter their automobile in the Monster Muscle car Weekend competition and all will be amazed at the performance in these cars.

9 a.m.- 5 p.m.: Time Trials (2-3 runs per class - run cards will be used in the event of a clean-up run)
