This video features nitro action from Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI. There are some classic rides in here including the Funny Cars of Gene Snow, Fred Mandoline and Kelly Chadwick. The dragsters include Ma and Pa Hoover and other Midwestern regulars.

This video was part of the Car & Track syndicated television series which aired from 1968 through 1975. The series, according to noted drag racing historian Bret Kepner, was produced by host Bud Lindeman's southern Wisconsin-based company. ESPN bought the rights to the shows in the early 1990s and aired them in edited form. When SpeedVision was created by ex-ESPN motorsports programming head Terry Lingner, he took the shows to that channel and aired them again.

This event, the Spring Top Fuel championship, featured in booked-in cars that normally ran on the UDRA Series and also mixed in a A/FC (injected nitro) cars from Texas.
