The passing of Tom “the Mongoose” McEwen was a surprise and a shock to myself and I’m sure everybody else that new him well.

Even though you know that it is inevitable, you always think that your heroes are never going to die. I know he was 81 and had some health issues in the past but I was lucky enough to interview him at the March Meet this year and like always, he had that quick wit and could remember things in his career that made the interview seem like it could have been done during his driving days. I never thought when I was doing the interview that it would be my last time talking with him, but I am so thankful that I had the opportunity. RIP Goose
