There was a day when Pro Modified was the devil according to those in the Pro Stock division. In today's challenging NHRA Pro Stock community, one of drag racing's more volatile doorslammer divisions appears to be the great escape.

Consider Bo Butner the next escapee, although he's really not going anywhere.

Why Pro Mod?

"That's the same thing I asked myself when I went Pro Stock racing," Butner admitted. "It's something different. We had a great season in Pro Stock, and we won a championship. Besides, I've always been around the turbo guys, and I'm familiar with this kind of car since I had a Procharger car. Harry (Hruska) was nice enough to bring out the Precision Turbo car."
