Young men are apt to do whatever it takes to secure the admiration and love of a young lady. For 16-time NHRA champion John Force, trying to tame an ornery AA/Fuel Altered on an LA County backroad probably wasn't the brightest idea to try and impress the young lady who would eventually become his wife. Well it is John Force we are talking about, and of course, there's a blooper reel at the end.

If you think noted door slammer announcer Al Tucci is entertaining as an announcer, then you haven't heard him tell a story. Tucci, in this episode of CompetitionPlusTV's Storytellers, reveals the day he match raced "Uncle" Roy Hill through a shopping mall parking lot, and literally took his life into his own hands. What makes this tale even better the statute of limitations has run out on this 1990s gut-splitter. We can only imagine the celebration if this Top Fuel driver wins; which we believe will happen this season.
Scott Palmer and members of the CAPCO crew celebrate his first ever final round appearance the best way they know how with throttle wacks on a nitro car.

John Force’s incredible success as a professional drag racer belies a childhood in which he rarely won anything – from football to fistfights.
In this episode of Legends, the Series, season four, the 16-time Funny Car champ talks about enduring polio, the influence of his brother Louie, his family’s “Grapes of Wrath” lifestyle, a father whose pride was not evident until after his death, learning to deal with pressure and how he would most like to be remembered.
“I didn’t know I was a poor child,” the 148-time NHRA tour winner said of his years growing up in seven-member family anchored by a truck driving dad and a fry cook mom. “I thought it was the greatest time of my life.”

There was a day when Pro Modified was the devil according to those in the Pro Stock division. In today's challenging NHRA Pro Stock community, one of drag racing's more volatile doorslammer divisions appears to be the great escape.
Consider Bo Butner the next escapee, although he's really not going anywhere.
Why Pro Mod?
