RACING TRADE SHOW, AUCTION AND SWAP MEET IN ATLANTA

Atlanta Motor Speedway’s infield and garage areas will be bustling with activity when the Potts Auction Company conducts a trade show, swap meet and racers auction this Saturday, Jan. 13.

“We are excited to play host to this racer’s auction,” said Brandon Hutchison, vice president of events at AMS. “This event will give oval track racers and drag racers an opportunity to sell parts, engines and entire race cars.  This is the perfect event to begin your race season planning.”

Potts Auction Company has registered nearly 100 vehicles for auction, including  race cars, dragsters, go karts and classic collector cars for the auction. Engines, transmissions, wheels, tools and other automotive performance items will be auctioned.

“We can set a reserve on the race cars and parts,” said Rick Potts of Potts Auto Auction.  “But, we also have a few cars with no reserve we will be selling.  It is real easy to participate for those who have never been a part of an auction.”

The swap meet is open to anyone wishing to sell used parts, frames, wheels, tires, engines or any other automotive related items. Just $25 reserves a swap meet space, but spots are limited and are distributed on a first-come first-served first served basis.

The vendor area will include aftermarket racing parts suppliers, racing fuel, tires, oil companies, speedways and drag strips.  All vendors will be inside the garage area nearest to the auction.  Vendor spaces begin at $100 and will include electrical service and a phone line.

Gates will open at 9 a.m. with the auction starting at 11 a.m. Admission is just $10 for adults and kids five through eleven are $2. Kids under five are free.
