Matt Hagan drives the Don Schumacher Racing Diehard Funny Car on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series. Away from the track, he leads a simpler and slower life as a farmer in Christiansburg, Va.

Speed and farming crossed paths for Hagan last Saturday afternoon.

However, this speed came from a four-legged buck running loose on his farmland. The former football player Hagan eventually chased the wayward critter down.

 "He was just a little faster than Mike Neff but I ran him down," said Hagan.
