PRUDHOMME ANNOUNCES SKYTEL PROGRAM

SkyTel, a nationwide wireless service provider and division of Bell Industries, Inc. (AMEX:  BI) announced today that it is a primary sponsor of the SkyTel/Don Prudhomme Racing Top Fuel dragster, driven by two-time NHRA top fuel champion Larry Dixon.

SkyTel is the only wireless brand sponsoring an NHRA POWERade Series team in 2007, replacing long-time sponsor Miller Lite on Dixon’s car.  The alliance with Don Prudhomme “Snake” Racing is designed to fuel rapid growth of SkyTel’s SkyGuard™ vehicle reassurance system.

“We see the NHRA as a tremendous platform for building SkyTel’s brand awareness and sales,” said Brad Richards, executive vice president of sales and marketing for SkyTel.  “By partnering with Don Prudhomme, we have associated our brand with not only the best team owner in the business, but one of its finest drivers – Larry Dixon.  I have every confidence that the SkyTel dragster will be competing for a Top Fuel championship from the very first race.

I have every confidence that the SkyTel dragster will be competing for a Top Fuel championship from the very first race.”

SkyTel (www.SkyTel.com) will promote a number of innovative wireless products including SkyGuard™ at NHRA races throughout the 23-event season.  SkyGuard™ is a state-of-the-art GPS tracking, monitoring and theft recovery system for motor vehicles.  Its web based interface is designed for ease of use by both individuals and families.  The complete line of SkyTel’s vehicle reassurance products will be distributed later this year through major automotive dealers, distributors and retailers in the U.S. and abroad.

“This is a great day for the entire Snake Racing family,” said Prudhomme.  “While we will all miss working with the folks from Miller, who were so supportive of us for over a decade – including two championship seasons – we couldn’t be more excited about our new relationship with SkyTel.  They are an outstanding brand with substantial growth potential in a category that has been absent from the NHRA until now.”

The SkyTel Racing Team will debut its distinctive orange-dominant motif at the opening weekend of the 2007 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.  The CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals will kick off the season February 8-11 in Pomona, CA.

Don Bender returns for his second year as crew chief of Dixon’s Top Fuel dragster, and is currently busy preparing for a 2007 season that he hopes will bring a third NHRA top fuel crown to the Snake Racing team.

“I am extremely excited about driving the SkyTel dragster,” said Dixon, the third winningest Top Fuel driver in NHRA history.  “SkyTel is a great company, and SkyGuard™ is an invaluable resource for any parent concerned about their children’s safety and security.”

The agreement between SkyTel and Don Prudhomme Racing was negotiated by Ladd Biro, president of Dallas-based sports and entertainment marketing agency Champion Management LLC (www.championmgt.com).  Champion has also been engaged to secure associate sponsors for the team.
