NHRA PRO MOD FEATURES 10-RACE SCHEDULE

The popular AMS Staff Leasing Pro Modified Challenge announced its final 2007 racing schedule, series director Matthew Brammer said Wednesday. In addition, Tindle Enterprises joined the Series as the presenting sponsor at all 10 events.

"We have been working with the schedule to identify the best markets to include on the schedule, and with the new dates on some of the events, I think the schedule will be both challenging and exciting," Brammer said.

"We've added the Southern Nationals in Atlanta to the agenda this year, and the drivers have all said they are excited to race in what they call 'the backyard of Pro Mod,'" he said. The 2007 Pro Mod schedule includes stops in Gainesville, Houston, Atlanta, Madison, Bristol, Englishtown, Indianapolis, Dallas, Richmond and Las Vegas.

Brammer went on to say that the addition of Tindle Enterprises, Inc. (TEI) as the Presenting Sponsor will help assure an exciting program for 2007. Tim Tindle, the owner of TEI, sponsored 2006 BAE/RPM Depot Championship runner-up Joey Martin, and will be assuming the driving duties this year behind the wheel of the 1967 Shelby GT Mustang formerly driven by two-time champion Mike Ashley. Tindle and Ashley joined forces when Ashley jumped full time into the nitro Funny Car ranks in 2006.

"Tim is one of the most down-to-earth men you'll ever meet, and I'm very pleased that we will be able to help him grow his company with his association with the powerful and exciting world of Pro Mod drag racing," Brammer said. "I'm sure it will be a long-term, positive relationship for all of us."

Tindle and longtime series title sponsor AMS Staff Leasing have joined to post an increased event purse of $30,000 per event. Event winners will receive $10,000, runners-up $4,000, semi-finalists will earn $1,750, quarter-finalists $1,150 and qualifiers $1,000.

The series is invitation-only. Drivers are invited based on their performance records, past series participation, and availability to commit to scheduled events.

"Our goal is to present an exciting, competitive show which pits the very best blown, nitrous and turbo Pro Mods against each other," Brammer said.

Drivers wishing to be considered for the series are required to fill out the driver registration form on the amspromods.com website, he added.

"It's going to be a great season - and it all starts in Gainesville," he said.
