Now competing for Toronto-based First Kart, the Covenant Christian High School student dominated the TaG Senior and sauntered to a dominated five-second victory. His first victory of the season, in just his second race, came at Homestead (Fla.) Karting facility on the Florida Winter Tour. The event featured the best racers from the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico and South America. The younger Beard is in his first season with First Kart North America, who recently opened a satellite shop in Brownsburg, Ind. He competes in the 125cc Tag Senior division.
