MOSER HOOKS UP WITH WATERS

Officials at Moser Engineering, one of the sport of drag racing’s leaders in the manufacturing of performance axles and rear end components, proudly announced today the addition of Danny Waters, Jr. to its’ successful stable of sportsman thoroughbreds.

Waters, Jr., a long-time IHRA favorite hailing from Lagrange, North Carolina joins the illustrious sportsman class champions, the Cummings family from Hammond, Louisiana to help carry the Moser torch and compete for an IHRA World Championship.

“We’re extremely pleased to have Danny on our team representing Moser in the IHRA arena for 2007,” Rob Moser, company owner and president, stated. “He has already had a great racing career with a lot more wins in the future.

Moser added it’s not just Waters, Jr.’s racing credentials that complete the package.

“Sure, Danny is a great racer,” Moser explained, “but he’s equally a great person with a great support system in his family.”

Waters, Jr. plans on piloting his 2004 Worthy Swing-Arm, PAR Racing Engine powered dragster at the majority if the IHRA national venues as well as an aggressive IHRA division 9 schedule in the always competitive quick rod class, a class which he won a division title back in 2003.

As far as what teaming up with Moser means to Waters, Jr. and Waters Motorsports for the 2007 season, Waters, Jr. couldn’t say enough.

“My family and I couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming racing season. To get the help from such a great close-knit company, much like my family, means so much to not only our confidence but our whole outlook for the 2007 racing season,” Waters, Jr. said. “Getting married to my beautiful wife Lindsay last October and now this…it couldn’t be much better.”

Along with the 1998 IHRA world title in hot rod and the 2003 IHRA divisional title in quick rod, Waters, Jr. has also won an IHRA divisional title in hot rod in 2004, competed in over 30 IHRA finals, runner-up in the inaugural Moser Axle Mania Shootout, and voted Car Craft ‘Driver of the Year’ in 1999 for the hot rod sportsman class.
