PRECISION TURBO AND ENGINE NAMED SPONSOR OF NHRA SPORT COMPACT

NHRA officials announced a multi-year agreement with Precision Turbo and Engine as the official turbocharger of the NHRA Xplôd Sport Compact Racing Series.

“We are pleased to have Precision join the Xplôd Series as an official sponsor,” said Josh Peterson, general manager of the NHRA Xplôd Sport Compact Racing Series. “Precision’s involvement with the series is heavily rooted with the numerous teams they provide help for, and their participation in the NHRA sport compact contingency program.”

Precision Turbo and Engine provides support for several teams in the NHRA Xplôd Sport Compact Racing Series including 2006 world champions Brad Personett (Pro FWD), Paul Efantis (Modified), Ron Lummus (Hot Rod) and Ryan Woon (Sport RWD – West Region). In addition, Precision Turbo is providing more than $28,000 in contingencies for its Boosted Technology line of turbochargers, which will be divided among eight different classes in the NHRA Xplôd Sport Compact Racing Series.

The NHRA is the premier sanctioning body for sport compact drag racing. It is presenting the 11-race NHRA Xplôd Sport Compact Racing Series at nine tracks across the country from March through October.

The series is highlighted by its five championship classes (Pro RWD, Pro FWD, Modified, Hot Rod and Honda Tuning Magazine All Motor). In addition, the series promotes the grass-root racer with the Regional Sportsman Championships for those competing in Urbanracer.com Sport FWD, Sport RWD, BFGoodrich Tires Street Stock and Quick 16 classes.
