Advance tickets for the ADRL's Eastern Race Fuels Dragstock IV, the event that last year attracted more than 100 Outlaw Pro Mod race cars and the largest single-day crowd in Rockingham Dragway history, are on sale now at the main ticket office.

This year's event, part of the Flowmaster ADRL national-event series, will be contested Sept. 14-15, with champions crowned in all four ADRL pro categories: Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, Extreme 10.5, and Pro Extreme Motorcycle.

"Last year, the biggest surprise to me was the crowd," Earwood said. "But after watching the show on Saturday, the turnout was understandable. Obviously, the ADRL has put together a program that really appeals to today's race fan. (Dragstock) was one of the best drag racing shows ever produced at The Rock."

Adult tickets for the 2007 renewal are $10 for Friday's qualifying session, $25 for Saturday's program, or $30 for the weekend. Tickets for children 6-12 are $5 per day. Children under six are free when accompanied by a ticketed adult.

"Given the volume of last year's turnout for Dragstock III, we are pleased to be able to provide this opportunity for fans to purchase their tickets early," said ADRL president Kenny Nowling. "Thanks to the hard work of Steve Earwood and his staff at Rockingham Dragway, we're now ready to (sell tickets) months in advance of Dragstock IV."

The defending event champions are Joey Martin of Milton, Fla., (Pro Extreme), Shannon Jenkins of Tuscaloosa, Ala. (Pro Nitrous), and Steve Kirk Jr. of Monroe, Ga. (Extreme 10.5).
