Jim Halsey, usually a staple on the IHRA Pro Modified tour, skipped the event in Milan, Michigan to come to Norwalk. He wasn't the only one. Tour regular Burton Auxier was also there amongst a score of other former IHRA Pro Modified racers. In fact, there were only two nitrous racers in Milan.
