COUGHLIN TESTS FOR PRO STOCK RETURN AT TORCO NATIONALS

Jeg Coughlin Jr., impressed with his recent test session at Virginia Motorsports Park is ready for the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock wars. And, he has an agenda as well. He wants to run quick and fast en route to helping Victor Cagnazzi teammate Dave Connolly pursue a world championship.

Coughlin will make his return at the upcoming Torco Race Fuels NHRA Nationals in Petersburg, Va.

"We are ready for action at Virginia Motorsports Park," said an eager and excited Coughlin.  "We had a great two-day test session at the track in mid-September and got the new Slammers Ultimate Milk Chevy Cobalt straightened out - it's race ready.  We have all of the pieces in place to come out swinging.  The team chemistry is there from the start and that's a huge advantage walking into any situation.  I am really excited to come back to competition and start off at the track where we are the defending winner.  It will be great to be back in the mix and help Dave Connolly out in his battle for the Pro Stock championship over the last three races this year.  It's going to be exciting."

Coughlin brings a strong resume to the battlefield in two weeks. The two-time NHRA World Champion has one career victory at VMP and that came in 2000 when he defeated Jim Yates in the final round.

Coughlin brings to the Cagnazzi camp a driver that has won national events in four different eliminators.

Team Jeg’s has already created a promotional video for SLAMMERS Ultimate Milk featuring Coughlin. - VIDEO
