OXFORD HEADED TO VEGAS

Rod Oxford captured his first ever championship this year when he took the West Coast Hot Rod Association Outlaw 10.5 title. He's competing this weekend in the Street Car Super Nationals hosted by the Strip in Las Vegas and hoping to pad his resume with a SCSN Outlaw 10.5 title.

“Coming off the WCHRA Championship, I am pumped," Oxford said. "I really want to bring it to the likes of West Coast regulars Ron Weems and Rich Zehring. I also hear Bill Glidden is coming, that would be really something for me to race a guy like him, after all in 10.5 racing he is the guy to you want to tell everybody you beat. To make us more competitive I have had Morgan and Son make some changes to the motor and Chuck Roberts and I have added another stage of nitrous. Hopefully that will be enough to get the job done.”

In addition to his WCHRA success Oxford is also sitting in third spot in the PSCA Outlaw 10.5 series with one round of the series to go.
