The two decided to start this venture in early August and quickly ordered a new, state of the art Pontiac, GTO from Jerry Bickel Race cars. The car, which is scheduled to be completed by late October, will be powered by the team’s in house engine program. Ron Miller, of Ron Miller Racing Engines will be the exclusive engine builder of Perry/Rice Racing. “Having your own engine program in NHRA is a big advantage and hopefully one that, in the end, will give you an edge over the competition,” said Perry.

The team is also excited to announce Craig Hankinson as the crew chief for next year. Both Rice and Perry agree that Craig will bring a lot to the team. “Craig has experience and knowledge that will help propel this team to the front of the pack next year” stated Perry. “And we couldn’t be more excited to have him on board.”

Boscoe HVAC will be the primary sponsor for the team while D R Grading and Excavating will be an associate sponsor in 2007. The team plans to start testing by early November and will be at the first race in Pomona.
