NHRA PRO MODIFIED 2007

AMS Pro Modified Challenge officials announced on Sunday evening during the awards banquet that the series will return in 2007 with ten events and possibly two more. The two dates in question will most likely be during the NHRA SportsNationals events. The rules will most likely remain under the current structure and will not follow the lead of the IHRA in their rumored alterations.

AMS Pro Modified Challenge officials announced on Sunday evening during the awards banquet that the series will return in 2007 with ten events and possibly two more. The two dates in question will most likely be during the NHRA SportsNationals events. The rules will most likely remain under the current structure and will not follow the lead of the IHRA in their rumored alterations.

The largest change will be in the winner's purse which will expand to $10,000.

Among the other highlights: Mike Ashley was awarded the Walter Henry Award. Matt Hagen was named Rookie of the Year. Brad Anderson and Howard Moon shared the crewchief of the year honors.
