The opening round of the 2021-22 400 Thunder season scheduled for Heathcote Park Raceway, Victoria, on November 26-27 has been cancelled.

Organizers citing uncertainty around spectator numbers allowed due to Covid-19 restrictions and delays with track renovations as factors behind their decision.
  
“We are extremely disappointed to have to make this decision, but we have no options at this stage,” according to Heathcote Park Raceway owner Lance Warren. 

“The 400 Thunder Championship events are very important to us and we want to make sure that we have the ability to host a 100% capacity crowd, as well as have all of the safety upgrades completed. By the time 2022 arrives, we should be ready to take on all events as planned.” 

The next round of the 400T series will be held at Willowbank Raceway, January 7-8.
