The 2018 CIFCA Season will kick off at the Whittier Area Classic Car Show, February 24th 2018 at Whittier Area Community Church. James Maher & Michael Halstead will be there with their Funny Cars as well as Mikayla's Junior Dragster. The Whittier Area Classic Car Show started on February 25, 2012. This Annual Car Show is open to all makes and models of American and foreign classic and collector vehicles 1976 and older.

The net proceeds of this event will fund Whittier Area Community Projects and help fund a Whittier Union High School District Scholarship honoring fallen Whittier police officer  Keith Boyer. The event is free to the public. There will be live msic, vendor booths, food trucks, sponsor information, raffle prizes, opportunity drawings, event t-shirts, games, activities for kids and a mini cackle-fest.

CIFCA has four races booked for 2018 so far and are working on a few more. Currently three races are scheduled for Sacramento Raceway Park's Funny Car Fever, Nitro Nite of Fire and Governor's Cup.

New for 2018 is a visit to Redding Dragstrip for the "Thunder Under the Lights." show. This will be the first time in many years that the CIFCA cars have appeared at Redding and it is hoped that at least 10 cars will be on hand.
