Jamie Jackson had no idea how crucial a 1961 match race between Sammy Hale and “Sneaky” Pete Robinson would be in preserving drag racing’s history. He was awestruck at the presentation of sounds and speed.
While photography was the preferred way of capturing the intensity of the straight-line sport, Jackson believed this was so inadequate in presenting the way it really was. Now joined by his older brother Sonny, the siblings borrowed their parents’ 8 mm Brownie Hawkeye movie camera, which used Kodak color film.
They filmed all of the races they attended for 16 years straight. Unfortunately, the camera technology at the time didn’t capture sound, but as technology advanced, so did their presentation to include sound. Thus, Jackson Brothers Video was born.

FUNNY CARS N FORCE
This video is heavy on the 1970s Funny car scene with footage of the legends from Jungle Jim Liberman to an up-and-coming John Force. You’ll see copious amounts of footage from Fremont Dragway to Orange County International Raceway.
The Jackson Bros captured, on film, many of the greatest Funny Car racers of all time, at Fremont Raceway, in the early to late 70's. The J Bros shot with a Nikon Super 8 film camera that had a great Slow Motion feature built in, and they used it on many a burnout and launch of those Nitro powered Hot Rods. Tire shake and body flex were just as BAD then as it is now, and is plainly evident in this great, rare glimpse at some of the wildest, greatest Funny Cars that ever traveled the 1320. THE DON PRUDHOMME SCRAPBOOK
The Don Prudhomme Video Scrapbook is an 83 min. compilation of all the Snake footage the Jackson Bros have collected from theirs, and their contributor’s film files dating from 1960 to 1980. Includes all color footage with a mild jazz-rock background. Our Video Scrapbooks does not include narration. The presentation starts with the Snake competing in the second March Meet with his little Chevy-powered dragster and continuing his racing adventures to 1980. Cars include Zeuschel--Prudhomme, Greer-Black-Prudhomme, Wynn’s, Shelby Super Snake, Hot Wheels, Skoal, and various Funny Cars including, Hot Wheels, Carefree Sugarless Gum, and US Army Funnies. We also include some Hot Rod Reunion footage of the Snake being honored. Our Video Scrapbook series contain many rare and “never before seen” clips. Besides the “Snake,” other great legends of the sport will occasionally appear.
THE TOM MCEWEN SCRAPBOOK
The Mongoo$e Video Scrapbook is a 60 min. compilation of all the Mongoose footage the Jackson Bros have collected from theirs, and their contributor’s film files dating from the early 60’s to 1980. Includes color footage with a mild jazz-rock background. The Video Scrapbook series does not contain narration. Cars include the Hot Wheels Dragster and Funny Cars, Sugar Free Funny Car and let’s not forget the Coors and English Leather Corvettes. Other cars include Adams & McEwen, Albertson Olds, Activity Booster, and Mobile 1 Dragsters. The Mongoose’s ’57 Chevy Funny Car and Hot Rod Reunion honors are also included. THE GASSER FILES

This program contains some of the rarest historical film ever seen on the 1960’s Drag Racing machinery. With a unique collection of Front Engine Fuelers, Funny Cars, AFXers, Wheelstanders, Oddballs and Exhibition cars, this video will go down in Drag Racing history as the greatest collection of colorful nostalgia. Hot Rod events announcer Dan Danner describes all the special historical sequences. This program is full of spectacular “live” action shots of cars losing the battle of the Quarter Mile, whether from crashing, burning, wheelstanding, or going every way but straight. Strict safety rules pay off as no driver is seriously hurt in this program. They’ve honored Austin Coil and Pat Minick in a special workup on the famed “Chi-Town Hustler” FunnyCar. We’ll also turn loose the Hi-Tech, hard-charging big boys of the ’90s with unrestricted sound in all their four and five-second glory. THE SHOEBOX DREAM
It has long been the dream of many young men to own a really fast car. Whether his pleasure may have been cruising or racing, a typical teenager from the ’50s might have realized his fantasy from behind the wheel of a 1955 chevy. Those free-thinking racers from the past have given new hope and a new name to the great race cars of the ‘50s- “Shoebox!” Why do present-day fans find shoeboxes so intriguing? Because some of these dinosaurs are running the quarter-mile in around 7 seconds at close to 200 mph. World record runs of these fabulous ’50s cars can be found in The Shoebox Dream! This tape features Charles Carpenter’s ’55 Chevy, Thunder Craft with Rob Vandergriff, Dave Riolo’s Temptation-’55 Chevy, Wayne Torkelson & Son’s ’55 T-Bird, Bob Bunker, Ron Harding, Jr., John Scialpi’s Wappado, Kirk Kuhns, Lamar Walden, Mega Ford, and Christine.
