FIRST DAY PRO MOD WINTER WARM-UP TESTING COMPLETED

The first day of Pro Mod Winter Warm-Up testing at Orlando Speed World Dragway in Orlando is in the books

Steve Matusek was the quickest of the RPM Pro Mods testing at Orlando Speed World Dragway as he nailed down a 5.82 elapsed time at 250.
A few ticks behind his teammate Steve Matusek, Danny Rowe had a 5.82 at a slightly slower 248 miles per hour.
Bob Rahaim paced the nitrous contingent as he laid down and impressive 5.85 elapsed time at 246 miles per hour.
Drag racing champion Billy Glidden has crashed during a test session at the Orlando Speed World Dragway.

Glidden was making a test run in his 2010 Mustang when he encountered severe tire shake while in the right lane. The car then turned right and impacted the retaining wall before crossing the track where it struck the left retaining wall. The car came to a stop in the right lane.
Glidden, knocked unconscious during the wreck, regained conscious as medical personal were arriving to extract him from the damaged race car.

Gliddem complained of back pain which prompted the medical crew to cut open the car as part of the extraction process. He was able to move his head, arms and legs during the process.

Glidden was transported to Orlando Regional Hospital via ambulance.

Doctors chose not to do  surgery on Glidden's broken ribs, electing instead to allow them to heal on their own.

Glidden has significant swelling in his back, but doctors believe this is normal for the trauma his body received. All cat scans came back negative for any potential head injuries.

Glidden will remain in the hospital for two more days, as doctors monitor for blood clots. He remains in stable condition, with positive spirits and according to Shannon, was trying to watch the Indiana University basketball game.

"We cannot say thank you enough to the friends and family members who have offered prayers and support during this tough time," Shannon said.
