Rickie Smith is returning to his roots this year, kinda sorta.

Smith, arguably the most successful doorslammer racer, reurns to racing a Ford with a new Jerry Bickel Mustang.

The kinda-sorta is that he will race the season-opening NHRA Gatornationals with a turbocharged engine from ProLine. He took delivery of the new Bickel-built masterpiece on Friday, and left immediately to head to ProLine.
