FOXSPORTS.COM, COMPETITIONPLUS.COM FORGE COVERAGE RELATIONSHIP FOR NHRA, DRAG RACING NEWS

FOXSports.com and CompetitionPlus.com, a leading drag racing news internet magazine since 1999, have combined forces to provide high-quality NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series content for race fans worldwide.

CompetitionPlus.com becomes an official drag racing content provider for FOX Sports.com, supplying both timely news and behind-the-scenes original content.

The collaborative effort is intended to highlight the growing television partnership between FOXSports and the NHRA.

NHRA’s television ratings have been on an upward trajectory since the partnership began this season.

The alliance with CompetitionPlus.com is intended to create more awareness of drag racing with the large FOXSports.com audience.

“The NHRA on FOX is off to a great start,” said FOX Sports spokesperson Erik Arneson. “Having a relationship with the experienced CompetitionPlus.com team at the track each weekend gives sports fans another way to connect to the world of drag racing through FOXSports.com.”

Veteran motorsports journalist Bobby Bennett, publisher and founder of CompetitionPlus.com, believes the coverage relationship with FOXSports.com provides a natural synergy beneficial for NHRA drag racing fans.

“We look forward to this opportunity to work with Tom Jensen and the great team over at FOXSports.com,” said Bennett. “Drag racing, and particularly the NHRA brand, provides what we feel is the greatest entertainment value of all motorsports. I have covered drag racing for over 30 years now and I stand steadfast in my belief the sport just keeps getting better and better.”

The relationship is effectively immediately, and will include mid-week feature stories and race weekend news articles from NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events.
