JIM DUNN RACING CHANGES FUNNY CAR GRAPHICS IN BRAINERD

When the Jim Dunn Racing team rolls its Funny Car chassis out of the hauler this Thursday, they will put the Hubert’s Lemonade Funny Car body on for a display at the nearby Menards store in Baxter, Minnesota.  Following the display they will head back to the track and make a change to 7-Eleven Funny Car graphics for the race weekend.

Team Manager, Jon Dunn, is responsible for keeping the promotional and race calendars up to date for the team. “We do so many displays throughout the season for our vendor and retail partners that we usually have at least two or more a month.  Keep in mind that we are giving fans who attend these events a look at the real thing since our show car is the actual race car that runs 300+ mph the next day on the track.”

The display for Hubert’s Lemonade this week is from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Thursday, August 17, at the Menards store (15236 Dellwood Dr, Baxter, Minnesota 56401), just a few minutes from Brainerd International Raceway.  Driver, Jim Campbell, along with team owner and Drag Racing Hall of Fame member, Big Jim Dunn, will be on-site during the display signing autographs.  Fans attending the appearance will also be treated to Hubert’s Lemonade sampling as the popular beverages are sold by the case and individual bottles throughout Menards grocery aisles in the cold drink cooler next to check-out registers.

Campbell is only 8-points outside the cutoff line to make NHRA’s Countdown to the Championship going into the Brainerd NHRA national event.  Fans can follow the team on Facebook at @JimDunnRacing, and watch the Fox Sports broadcasts throughout the race weekend.
