Jason Scruggs of Saltillo, Mississippi, scored a $10,000 payday by defeating Brandon Lewis of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in the final round of Flying A Outlaw Pro Mod eliminations. To reach the final, Scruggs defeated Jon Stouffer in the first round of eliminations, then trailered Texan Frankie Taylor in the semi-final.
 
Thomas Eddie Rogers of Berryville, Arkansas, took home $7,500 after winning the Precision Turbo Pro Nitrous vs. Pro Boost final over Canadian Jim Bell. Rogers defeated Brazil's Sidnei Frigo in the first round of eliminations, then won the second round after opponent Terry Barkley crashed. Rogers ran a single in the semi-final to meet Bell in the final. Surprise entry Justin "Big Chief" Shearer of Street Outlaws TV show fame was eliminated in the second round by Bell.
 
James Thurston of Wentzville, Missouri, won the Magnafuel 7.0 Index final over Doug Linton of St. Louis.
 
Randy Van Hook of Bloomington, Illinois, won the Victory Nostalgia Super Stock final over Phil Cathey of Columbia, Missouri.
 
NEXT AT THE DRAGPLEX: Professional testing will take place at the Dragplex on Monday and Tuesday. Monday belongs to the Pro Mods, including Justin "Big Chief" Shearer, who will attempt to earn his NHRA Pro Mod license in order to enter the Labor Day Weekend NHRA national event in Indianapolis. NHRA Pro Stocks will test on Tuesday. Both days are open to the public: $20 for adults, kids 12 and under are free. Gates will open both days at 8 a.m.
