STEVIE FAST HAS A WORD FOR THE TURBO PRO MODS

Pro Modified Standout Stevie "Fast" Jackson was not happy following the final qualifying session at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tenn. He left little room for interpretation in the moments afterward.

Jackson took offense to what he felt was an extended amount of time for Alex Laughlin to stage his turbocharged entry. Then, as he exited the car at the end of the strip, a FOXSports microphone was stuck in his face.

"Every time you run one of these piece of s*** turbo cars they're always blinking the lights, and don't know how to stage ... in and out ... someone takes a picture when you take off. From now on if you run a turbo car, you're going to need a transmission cooler plugged in on the starting line before I stage. That's it."

A video with Jackson's comments has already been viewed over 108,000 times in three days.

Jackson said his post-run comments weren't necessarily directed at Laughlin personally as much as they were intended for the turbocharged community in general.

"The fact we've altered the sport of drag racing to make concessions for a small group of people is the problem," Jackson explained. "Since drag racing was invented and when there were four bulbs, once the tree latched, if you backed out, you red-lighted. Now because they cannot stage the car, everybody who races against a turbo car. You can't worry about racing the car until they are all in and set, and everything is happy, and they are ready to race you. That's bulls***."

In true Stevie Fast spirit, he unveiled a new YouTube video comparing the turbos to leaf blowers and hummingbirds. It's true comedy worth watching.

"That's just me being me and taking a swipe at them," Jackson said. "I think rivalry is good for the sport. There are some who are taking it personal, and it's not meant to be that way."
