SATURDAY MATCH RACING - RADFORD, VA.

The largest car count in the history of three-year-old Motor Mile Dragway in Radford, VA, made for some great racing in the track's Mean 16 event. The new format that splits the 16 qualifiers into a top and a bottom half was a great hit among the competitors.

Because of the number of cars attempting to qualify for the 16 spots, track officials also added a third 8-car bracket as a consolation race. In addition to the Mean 16 and consolation races, Matt Hagan and Mike Janis provided a best 2 out of 3 match race for the Saturday crowd.
