From what we are hearing, the NHRA Lucas Oil divisions that has seven events are being asked to volunteer at least two tracks to drop the alcohol classes. Reportedly, this is to increase the profit margin of these events.

UPDATE - The NHRA's Len Imbrogno contacted the offices of Torco's CompetitionPlus.com to explain the whole situation has been a misunderstanding amongst at least one NHRA divisional director and the sanctioning upper management. The letter we saw clearly showed a tech director asking for at least two tracks to drop alcohol in order to save money on the purse. But, this was a pure misunderstanding.
