RUMOR MILL - UPDATED: WHAT WE HEAR ABOUT NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY

UPDATED 12-2-21 - According to multiple sources, the bid to purchase New England Dragway has failed. We are told the board voted against a bid to purchase the property for a significant amount of money thus keeping the property as an operating drag strip. 

11-24 - Many rumors are floating around regarding New England Dragway. Here's what we are told by sources close to the situation. Because New England Dragway is a publicly owned drag strip with a board, any and all offers to buy the strip are to be taken to the group to decide whether the track will be sold or remain in operation. Currently, there is a race fan-generated petition to encourage the board to keep on moving forward as a drag strip. However, the bottom line is this, money talks. As of now, the track is still business as usual and the 2022 NHRA New England Nationals will move forward as planned.
