Go back to an era when television broadcasting was at a crossroads. This rare coverage from the 1983 NHRA Northstar Nationals in Brainerd, Minn., features coverage of the fuel Funny Car and Top Alcohol Dragster divisions.

Up until this point, drag racing's television presentation had largely been in syndicated status, appearing at random times on random networks. This was one of the earliest presentation on The Nashville Network.
