For clutch modifications, the stock G-body firewall is well known for not being strong enough to handle clutch conversion, and often does not have the proper geometry for a universal type hydraulic bracket. American Powertrain’s Hydramax utilizes the stock brake master to locate the clutch master cylinder support bracket ensuring a strong mounting location. The G-body bracket is laser-cut, powder coated and uses a tried and true Wilwood 3/4” bore clutch master for added reliability and easy mounting.

Highly respected fastener manufacturer ARP has compiled a handy Product Guide detailing all of the company’s offerings that fit the popular new “Gen III” Chrysler Hemi engine. These high performance fasteners provide increased clamping force and an extra margin of safety not found in factory TTY (Torque-To-Yield) bolts. Additionally, ARP fasteners are engineered to be re-used, whereas the OEM bolts are yielded by design and should not be put back into service.

Certified 4340 aircraft quality steel and are fully CNC machined on the newest generation of equipment to insure the removal of all surface imperfections. A precision "EDM" laser burns a hole from the top of the rod bearing journal to wrist pin bushing for an extra supply of oil to the piston pin (drilled rod bearings required). Fully stress relieved and shot peened to insure no stress risers remain. The beam is profiled for weight savings. The cap has been lightened for easier balancing. They are specially heat-treated using a multi-phase process to insure the ultimate in strength and reliability. Rod caps are double ribbed for added strength. Rod cap alignment dowels to keep bearing caps precisely aligned. Bronze bushed for floating pins. 7/16" ARP 2000 capscrew (220,000 psi) fasteners secure the caps. The Ultimate Duramax Rod!
