NEW SGMP ADRL EVENT SPONSOR
"Camp Motorsport is thrilled about this new partnership," said Camp Motorsport founder Ken Martin, who formerly was Director of Camps for the U.S. Space Camp, an educational experience for youngsters interested in space travel and exploration. "We are looking forward to introducing Camp Motorsport to the millions of fans that ADRL reaches each year."
The Flowmaster American Drag
Racing League and Camp Motorsport, a racing-based educational program
located at VIRginia International Raceway, today announced a multi-year partnership
that includes Camp
Motorsport becoming the
title-rights sponsor for the ADRL's annual Georgia Drags event. That event, scheduled for May 4 and 5 this year at Valdosta,
Ga., is now officially known as
the Camp Motorsport Georgia Drags.
"Camp Motorsport
is thrilled about this new partnership," said Camp Motorsport
founder Ken Martin, who formerly was Director of Camps for the U.S. Space Camp,
an educational experience for youngsters interested in space travel and
exploration. "We are looking forward to introducing Camp Motorsport
to the millions of fans that ADRL reaches each year."
"When Wendy (Tysinger Promotions President Wendy Stallings who brokered
the partnership) first called me and I visited the Camp Motorsport
website I was blown away," said ADRL President Kenny Nowling. "The
popularity of motorsports is at an all-time high and I believe Camp Motorsport
will provide kids and teens with a fantastic opportunity to learn about all
facets of racing and life in a fun and exciting way. In fact, before we even
signed the contracts, I enrolled my 11-year-old daughter Madison and she is
literally counting the days until camp starts."
Camp Motorsport will open this summer at VIR,
featuring programs for young motorsports enthusiasts between the ages of 10 and
16. Participants will learn not only about safe driving techniques, but will
also be instructed in teamwork and leadership principles, and will discover
many practical uses for the math and science they learn at their schools.
