KORETSKY TO SIT OUT MEMPHIS

One week after his triumphant return to the driver’s seat, Kenny Koretsky is sitting out this weekend’s O’Reilly Mid-South Nationals. Replacing him in the blue Nitro Fish/ISC Racers Tape Pro Stock Dodge is Dave Northrop.

“Everything went well for me last weekend,” said Koretsky, who made his first driving appearance since his on-track accident with Bruce Allen in October. “I was pleased with the way I drove and everything, but I just need to devote more time to my businesses right now.

“Dave was scheduled to drive our red Nitro Fish Dodge, but Eddie (Guarnaccia, crew chief) and I decided to run just one car. Eddie has been doing a good job with the blue car.”

Northrop, of Perkasie, Pa., is looking forward to the weekend. “Eddie has the blue car running good,” Northrop said. “Kenny did a nice job driving the car last weekend. We just want to keep everything going in the right direction.”

Koretsky qualified 15th at Brainerd, Minn. last week with a run of 6.783 seconds at 202.82 mph.
