2008 NHRA DIVISION 4 COMP CASH REWARDS PROGRAM

With an extra $65,000.00 bonus purse on the line for Comp Eliminator racers in 2008 in NHRA’s Division 4, racers from across the country are expected to begin rearranging their travel schedules in hopes of taking advantage of the newly announced Comp Cash Reward program.

Racers this year will be in pursuit of the Comp Cash Reward bonus at the six Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Division 4 events as well as the Jeg’s Cajun SPORTSnationals. Comp Eliminator racers will compete for $40,000.00 in bonus purse that features payouts of $1500.00 to win, $750.00 for R/U, $400.00 to the semi-finalists, $200.00 to the quarter finalists and $100.00 to each first round winner at the LODRS events with a double Comp Cash Reward purse for the Jeg’s SPORTSnationals that features a $3000.00 winners bonus check. All Comp Cash Reward bonus checks will be issued over and above the NHRA Lucas Oil Series payouts.

But for the nations Comp Eliminator racers, the good news doesn’t stop there, as the winners Comp Cash Reward bonus check for the final event of the season at Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Noble, OK will be $25,000.00. The only provision for a racer being able to claim one of the largest Comp Eliminators winners checks ever posted, will be participation at four of the previous 6 events (five division races and the Jeg’s Cajun Sports Nationals).

For the fans and spectators attending these events, even they will have an opportunity to score some Comp Cash Reward dollars through a program being set up in conjunction with the Division 4 DRAW coordinator with an opportunity to win $100.00 to possibly even $500.00 dollars at each race, details for this program will be announced once they have been finalized.

With $65,000.00 on the line for Comp competitors this season in the land of the “Good Guys” look for the best Comp eliminator racing of the season to take place down south as competitors from across the country make the tow to partake of the Comp Cash Reward program. As Glenn Frey sang “It's the lure of easy money, it's got a very strong appeal.” Only in the case of the Comp Cash Reward program, the racing in Division 4 this year will be anything but easy.
