Word has it the NHRA will soon begin the process of working towards implementing an injected nitro combination within its Top Alcohol Funny Car division. The reasoning is two-fold we've heard floating around the inner circle. NHRA is reportedly concerned with the smaller car counts showing up for national events, and a shortage of crew chiefs could be alleviated with nitro being on the Funny car side of TAFC. Probably one of the leading indicators a move is on the horizon is the injected nitro Funny Car coming forth from Randy Meyer Racing.
