RUMOR MILL - BRISTOL DRAGWAY WILL BE ON 2021 NHRA CAMPING WORLD SCHEDULE

With the 2021 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series revealed on Wednesday, there was a glaring absence on the release. We are told by sources close to the situation race fans shouldn't read much into the omission of Bristol Dragway on the traditional Father's Day weekend. Look for the track formerly known as Thunder Valley to return to its spot once the competition schedule is released in a few weeks. Bristol Dragway, once a staple of the old IHRA series, returned to NHRA sanction in 2000 as specialty event race host with the old No Bull Showdown before becoming a full-time national event in 2002 with the Thunder Valley Nationals.

After all, aside from the Zoo in Brainerd, Minn., is there a better place to try out new series sponsor Camping World's products than the strip built in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee?
