Race fans might have picked up on the bullet point of engine platform in the NHRA's announcement regarding the decision to rescind the eight-car format at select races. If you're clamoring for the Factory Stock Showdown engine platform, this is not likely the change which will come forth. We have learned from inside sources the adjustment will come from Pro Stock's original spirit rule which mandated the engine must match the car manufacturer. If this materializes, we could very well see Chevy-powered Mustangs or Dodge-powered Camaros.
