TEXAS MOTORPLEX GENERAL MANAGER ANDY CARTER RESIGNS

Texas Motorplex co-owner Christie Meyer Johnson has announced that General Manager Andy Carter submitted his resignation to pursue other business opportunities.

Carter joined the staff at the Texas Motorplex in 2014 as the vice president of sales and three years later was promoted to his current position as general manager of the multi-use facility that annually hosts the Stampede of Speed and NHRA FallNationals in addition to a full schedule of additional motorsports and family-friendly events.

“We wish Andy the best of luck as he moves on to pursue a new challenge,” said Johnson. “The future is bright for Texas Motorplex and Andy had a big hand in leading our great staff as we expanded our racing and entertainment event calendar. We are in the early stages of a national search for his replacement as we look to continue to make Texas Motorplex one of the premiere sports and entertainment venues in the country.”

Carter, a TCU graduate, has had a long history of drag racing experience including 10 years with US Smokeless Tobacco. Prior to joining Texas Motorplex, he held the position of VP of Championship Bull Riding.
