BROWN NAMED GRAND MARSHAL

The month of May tradition has featured winners such as Ryan Newman, J. J. Yeley, Kevin Swindell and last year's winner Bobby East. Gates at O'Reilly Raceway Park open at 3 p.m. on May 23. Tickets are on sale for $25 for reserved seats and $20 for general admission seats. Children 12 and under are free with a paying adult. "I feel very honored and blessed and just want to thank everyone at O'Reilly Raceway Park for the opportunity," Brown said. "ORP is our home race track and anything we can do to promote NHRA drag racing I'm glad to do. It's going to be a busy day with the open house and the USAC race and I'm very excited to meet all the racing fans and hopefully help create some new NHRA fans. Any fans in town for the (Indianapolis) 500 have a fun weekend in store."

Brown drives the Matco Tools dragster for Mike Ashley Racing. The 20-time NHRA winner currently ranks second in the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Top Fuel standings following eight of 24 races on the 2009 schedule. Brown has two wins in three final rounds and two No. 1 qualifying awards this season. He is the only driver in NHRA history to win races and lead the points standings in both the Top Fuel and Pro Stock Motorcycle categories. Brown and the Matco Tools team will next compete at the 21st annual O'Reilly Summer Nationals, May 27-29, at Heartland Park Topeka in Topeka, Kan.

"Antron is a is a tremendous ambassador of NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing and we hope that open wheel fans get a chance to meet him and learn more about him and the NHRA."
