“One fan is going to be able to experience the thrill of taking this speedboat through its paces on the open waters,” said McClenathan. “NHRA fans are extremely loyal, and this is a way for Honeywell CPG and the FRAM brand to give a little something back.”

The sweepstakes is designed to build excitement around the Honeywell CPG racing program, and entries will be accepted online from June 1 – Dec. 31, 2009. It is open to all U.S. residents of the 48 contiguous United States. In addition to a grand prize winner, Honeywell CPG will randomly draw 175 names throughout the promotion and give away 1/24 scale die cast models of the FRAM® Top Fuel dragster signed by Cory Mac. The grand prize winner’s name will be announced at the NHRA Winternationals in 2010.

“The program was a way to really engage fans last year, therefore we decided to run the sweepstakes again for 2009,” said Kelley O’Donnell, Director of Global Coolants/ Motorsports Products at Honeywell CPG. “The great people at Nordic and Full Throttle are wonderful to work with and we are thankful to the NHRA for allowing us to conduct a sweepstakes program of this kind once again.”

Last year’s winner, Ron Hoover of Laurinburg, North Carolina, received the keys to his new 22-foot Nordic Evolution Speedboat during starting-line ceremonies at the Kragen O’Reilly NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, Calif.

“My wife and I had been talking about getting a boat for a while but it was a shock to win,” Hoover said. “It’s still hard to believe it is true.”
