Milan Dragway, located in the heart of Michigan, will open its gates to Battle of the Jets, presented by Napa Auto Parts, on July 18th, 2009 at 11:00a.m.

This family-friendly event will present fans a full day of exciting drag racing action and flame throwing exhibition vehicles for only $20 per person and kids 12 and under free all day! Cars, trucks and dragsters will have jet engines strapped on making passes down the track breaking speeds of 300 mph in a quarter mile!

Battle of the Jets will showcase some of the hottest and fastest drag racing in the country with the Holbrook Racing Engines Saturday Shoot-Out series consisting of six heads up classes, a street bike class and the popular wild street category. The event will also feature the United Manual Transmission Racer Association (UMTR), a dedicated group of stick shift drag racers, promoters, and fans whose goal and purpose is to bring back the lost art of stick shift racing.

Milan Dragway is a NHRA sanctioned ¼ mile dragstrip which operates drag racing events every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Milan Dragway is located between Toledo, OH and Ann Arbor, MI at 10860 Plank Road, Milan, MI 48160.
