“Most importantly we’ll have plenty of Fords to take on a test drive.”

That is, except for a select few rides sitting in the parking lot. Patrick will display his Extreme Pro Stock Shelby Cobra Mustang while Hill's Mike Bell-driven Pro Extreme Mustang fights for equal attention. Intermingled with the high-horsepower rides will be drag racing’s entry level race cars, the junior dragsters, also on dis play as part of the Roy Hill’s Drag Racing School.

In addition to teaching novice drivers how to handle high-horsepower race cars, Hill also instructs youthful drag racers on how to properly drive their dragsters. Displaying his race team alongside Robert's, at a Patrick family sponsored function, warms the heart of Hill, who watched Robert come up through the ranks and become champion.

“I am really proud of Robert and the Patrick family has done a lot for drag racing,” Hill said. “When Robert came through my school, when he was young, I told him there would be a day when he could race alongside drivers like Warren Johnson, Bob Glidden and Roy Hill … he’s done that and won a championship. I am excited about taking part in this event.”

The event will also feature a local radio remote with WFLS 93.3, a country station located in Fredericksburg.
