Larry Dixon and Spencer Massey both fell to lesser funded teams in the
first round of eliminations in the FRAM Autolite Nationals at

In his second round matchup against Tony Schumacher, Todd clocked another solid run in the BACA Racing dragster, a 3.995 to Schumacher's 4.169. Todd never trailed, beating The Sarge off the line .070 to .091.
Todd exited his dragster saying, “We beat the champ. I even left on the machine!”
