John Force Racing team owner John Force has a variety of interests but most of his attention is focused to three core areas: his Castrol GTX High Mileage Ford Mustang, movies, and his family. Throughout the Full Throttle Drag Racing Series season Force spends the majority of his time on the road with wife Laurie, daughters Ashley, Brittany, Courtney and son-in-law Robert Hight.

When the 14-time champion is back at his Yorba Linda, Calif., headquarters he spends most of his time with his oldest daughter Adria Force Hight who is the CFO of Force’s racing empire and other business interests. They work together on sponsorship issues and the wide variety of day-to-day business needs that go along with running one of the largest racing operations on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series.

When Adria is not in the office she pursues her passion writing, producing and performing music with her band M-O-S Project, an award nominated Orange County band that she helped form in 2005. Over the years Adria has seen a decline in opportunities for talented musicians and singers to get their music to a wide audience for a variety of reasons. Two years ago she began talking with her band mates and people in the music industry about this problem. From those conversations the Civil Defense Music record label was born.

“We are working with key veterans of the music industry in hopes of reviving great music. What you are hearing out there today is good but it all seems to be the same, entertainment verses art. The position with Civil Defense Music is to do what it takes to get these talented bands and singers where they should be, by promoting their music and getting it out there because it deserves to be heard” said Hight.

The label is in its infancy and to help raise awareness all four John Force Racing Ford Mustangs are sporting Civil Defense Music logos on the side windows throughout the Western Swing and the remainder of the NHRA season. Adria could not be happier to get this kind of support from her father and teammates.

“The Civil Defense Music label was what I wanted for M-O-S Project. I’m glad to see this turn-around with respect to the music industry today. Our band, the associates, and public awareness will definitely make a difference to bring back what has been missing in music today. My dad’s been great. He came in my office last month and said hey I like the CD, and did I want help getting with a label. I told him “dad, I already am”. However, we’re running the decals, and if there’s any more to say, I’ll leave the speaking to dad. He already understands the concept, and I don’t believe anyone could say it better,” added Hight.
