TINDLE STRIVES FOR SUCCESS ON AND OFF TRACK

As a successful business owner, Tim Tindle understands the importance of delivering total dedication and optimal performance on and Tim_Tindle.jpgoff the track. With two national event victories in 2009, the Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. driver has overcame obstacles and challenges to build a successful and competitive team in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge presented by ProCare RX.

The Tindle Racing Pro Mod team, led by crew chief Quain Stott, is continuing to make progress with each lap down the racetrack.  With the help of sponsors, the team has the resources and power it takes to reach the top.

Thus far, in 2009, Tindle has marched to victory lane twice, after winning the IHRA Spring Nationals at Rockingham Dragway during his IHRA debut and the NHRA Summer Nationals at Topeka.  Tindle credits his victories to a dedicated team and crew chief that strive for perfection.

Tindle has faced challenges on his journey to becoming a World Champion. In 2008, the team failed to win a single event, leaving the 2007 Pro Mod Challenge Rookie of the Year clueless.   This was discouraging for Tindle, who dominated during his first two career seasons as a team owner and then driver in 2007.  But, he never gave up.  With the formation of a new team in 2009, Tindle has delivered a competitive program that consistently wins rounds.

"I'm pretty pleased with the way this year has been going," Tindle said.  "It is definitely a turn-around from last year. You know, we struggled, and we worked through those difficulties. But, we still have goals that we want to accomplish.

"Bristol is the granddaddy of Drag Racing for me. My goal and dream is to win the U.S. Nationals and then Thunder Valley.  My son, TJ, has managed to do both.  He won Bristol earlier this year and then won Indy in a hole-shot final round on Saturday. We are all now taking notes from him," Tindle said with a laugh.

With the pressure of the points race bearing down, one has to wonder how Tindle, a devoted husband and the father of two, finds relief from the stress of performing well on race day, but the answer can be found by looking no farther than another race track.  Tindle finds time to bracket race with his daughter, Heather, and race in Outlaw 330 events with his son TJ.

For the remainder of the season, Tindle plans to compete in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge and various Outlaw Pro Mod events across the South.  Tindle currently stands No. 7 in points and plans to improve his position at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals, Indianapolis.

"Thanks to everyone that stepped up to the plate to keep NHRA Pro Mod racing alive," Tindle added. "We enjoy racing in the NHRA and we call it home. Thanks to Roger Burgess and all other sponsors who continue to support the series," Tindle said.
