Pedregon Racing today announced that Herzog has re-signed as a major associate sponsor with both Cruz and Tony Pedregon’s NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series Nitro Funny Car teams for 2007.

"I am extremely excited to have the Herzog Companies back with our team heading into the 2007 season," Cruz Pedregon said. "Herzog has been an integral part of our team’s growth since they came on board. It’s always important to have proper funding, but more than that, it’s important to have the right people behind your team – and Stan, Randy and Bill Herzog and their staff have been great to work with. They have become true friends of ours, and we value their personal support. I hope we can bring them continued success and represent them well in the coming season, which hopefully will allow us to continue this relationship for many more years."

Tony Pedregon is equally impressed with the support the Herzog’s have given his team in the past: "It is great to continue a partnership with the Herzog family for the 2007 NHRA season. This relationship has evolved into more than a sponsor-team program because of our ability to spend time at the races with Stan, Randy and Bill Herzog, as well as their valuable customers, and that has created a very unique balance. Our expectations are to win more races and to compete for the championship in 2007, and our sponsorship agreement with Herzog will play a vital role in achieving those goals. As we grow, we continue to be selective about who we want to be behind our efforts. We are happy that the best companies in racing like Q, Herzog and the rest of our valuable partners have decided to continue their relationship with our team next season."

"The Herzog Companies, including Bill, Randy and myself, are really excited about the 2007 NHRA season and our continued association with the Pedregon Racing Team," stated Stan Herzog, vice-president of Herzog Companies. "Over the past 19 years we have had several different associations in motorsports - as drivers, team owners and sponsors, including desert off-road, short course off-road, dirt track, Pikes Peak Hillclimb, ASA, oval track and the NASCAR Busch series. But now our interest lies in drag racing after our successful relationship with the Pedregon brothers this past year. After meeting and forming a good friendship with Tony, Cruz and their families, we now have the opportunity to continue to participate in that sport with some really great people who are sincere, dedicated and proven racers in a popular and growing racing series."

Stan, Randy and Bill Herzog not only support the Pedregon brothers, but they also concentrate on their St. Joseph, Mo.-based companies, which specialize in the construction of, among other things, railroads, highways and airports.
