HEAT FORCES CANCELLATION OF MAPLE GROVE RACING

Due to the excessive heat that has been blanketing Southeastern Pennsylvania, Maple Grove Raceway has canceled all track activities on Friday and Saturday.
 
The latest forecast from the National Weather Service has temperatures reaching 102 degrees on Friday and 100 on Saturday.

“With these types of conditions, that we haven’t seen in years, we felt this was the safest way to go,” said MGR vice president/general manager Lex Dudas. “We don’t want to risk anyone’s safety, especially those sitting in a hot car.”
 
Auto Locator Grudge Racing on Friday and Sunoco Race Fuels Money Trail 8 on Saturday will not be made up.
 
Racing resumes on Sunday with Money Trail 9. Gates open at 8 a.m. with time trials at 9 and eliminations at 1 p.m.
