WORLD FOOTBRAKE CHALLENGE RESCHEDULED

Coalburg Racing Promotions and Bristol Dragway have been forced to re-schedule
the inaugural World Footbrake Challenge to July 27-29 from it’s original date of
April 13-15. The change of schedule is due to track surface problems at the
Bristol facility that will require repaving of the racing surface
immediately.
“I’d like to first apologize to each and every pre-entrant and competitor
planning to attend the ‘World’s Greatest Footbrake Race’, the World Footbrake
Challenge,” said Coalburg Racing Promotions’ Jared Pennington. “With the race
less than two weeks away, this announcement is tough timing, and it’s
unfortunate for everyone involved. Believe me, a delay in this event is not
what (co-promoter Steve Stites and I) wanted, but it’s out of our control and we
respectBristol Dragway’s decision to ensure that Bristol is the premier facility
in the country, and in the long run make the WFC a stronger event.”
“With the track surfacing in place, all events for the month of April at
Bristol Dragway have been postponed, including the World Footbrake Challenge.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this causes our competitors; but once
again, the dilemma is beyond our control. We hope that everyone is able to make
the event in July, which will still be the ‘Worlds Greatest Footbrake Race’,
paying $50,000-to-win Saturday night July 28,” assured Pennington.
With the abrupt change in date, the World Footbrake Challenge is extending
100% refund opportunities to those racers already pre-entered in the
event.
“We realize that the rescheduling of this event may cause a conflict for
some competitors, and for that we apologize. If for any reason you are
pre-entered in the World Footbrake Challenge, and will not be able to make the
July 27-29 event, please contact myself or Steve Stites for a full refund. For
those of you pre-entered, rest assured that this event will happen, and it will
be a spectacular, fun-filled event for everyone involved!”
