The Bear's Performance Products Dodge Pro Stock Team has been a stable in IHRA Pro Stock for a number of years. The world’s quickest and fastest Dodge powered Pro Stocker has been headed by the O’Brien Brothers from the beginning, Larry drives and Wayne is the Crew Chief. With recent developments off the track the team will not be attending the upcoming Skull Shine Sooner Nationals in Tulsa, OK and has decided to park the race program for the immediate future.

Crew Chief / Co-Owner Wayne O’Brien has recently been diagnosed with cancer. His condition prevented him from attending the event in Rockingham with the team. “I really didn’t want to go, but Wayne said we needed to go for the points” stated Larry. Wayne underwent surgery last week and is now in the very difficult recovery stage that will involve further treatment. Larry says family comes first, “It is in the best interest of our program and more importantly our family that racing takes a back seat for now. We both love to race but this is a very easy decision to make. Matt (Matt Giangrande, Co-Crew Chief) and I discussed the situation and we decided we cannot go racing knowing what Wayne and his family are going through. We are parking the car until further notice. Our focus and efforts are helping Wayne recover and get well again”.
